It's Friday on the last week before Wizards 2009 and things are busy here at Star's Edge. How busy?

The Trainers arrived last weekend and worked through the week getting ready for Wizards. It's amazing to see how much free attention they have for everything in their domains. It promises to be quite a show!

Costumes, props and back stage support have been showing up regularly, turning more than one office into temporary dressing rooms.

 The extra translation equipment showed up yesterday - three large shipping crates full of receivers. With so many people from so many countries, translation at Wizards takes lots of equipment plus a crew of dedicated people to make sure everyone understands everything.

 Last minute details on the audio and video support systems have been finalized and two large semi-trucks full of equipment are on their way to Orlando. Set up starts Saturday morning early and takes two full days.

 Slides, music, videos, and support graphics have been approved, duplicated and checked. (Always check...)

Printers deliver boxes and boxes of materials, overflowing into warehouses and shipping docks. More materials and supplies are scheduled to be delivered directly to the Marriott over the weekend.

The administrative staff has been working overtime handling registration forms, housing forms, changes, more changes, and still more changes. Faxes, emails and phone calls fly in and out busier than any flock of barnswallows building nests in the spring. 

And through it all runs a bubbling current of energy - building, flowing, lifting, moving, clearing and aligning the efforts of everyone involved.

 Avatar Masters sometimes speak of how they feel a Course start days or weeks before the first session on the first day. The primaries creating Wizards can be felt months in advance but the flow through the last few weeks is like nothing else.

Congratulations to everyone in the Avatar network that creates Wizards 2009.  If this is your first Wizards, it is truly the experience of a lifetime.
